Scope and Contents

This series contains textual materials related to the Economy Grocery Company (also known as Ecco) from the time of the company’s founding until the name was officially changed to Stop & Shop, Inc. in 1947. Included in this series are advertisements for Ecco products and sales, clippings about the annual outing, a 1941 policy manual, and copies of the Economy newsletter "Ecco Folks."
