Scope and Contents
This sub-series contains materials about the Rabb/Rabinovitz/Goldberg family in general (for information on specific family members, see the sub-series listed below). This series primarily contains newspaper clippings about the Rabbs, including clippings about their philanthropy towards Beth Israel Hospital and the Weizmann Institute. The sub-series also contains notes and correspondence regarding the Rabbs’ involvement in the Jewish community. Of note is a report summarizing a 1951 meeting between Sidney and Irving Rabb and Prime Minister Ben-Gurion. Also of note is a series of correspondence regarding a controversial Boston Globe article by Edmund Hanauer in 1975 (for related materials on Stop & Shop and the Boston Globe see Stop & Shop – Press – Newspaper Clippings – Boston Globe, Star and Stop & Shop [Box 8, Folder 3]).
