Series III: Business, undated, 1919-1999
Scope and Contents
This series documents the professional lives of the Wyner family and is primarily concerned with their manufacturing business which started with the purchase of the French and Ward Mill in Stoughton, Massachusetts and was renamed Shawmut Woolen Mills by Rudolph Wyner. Over the years, Shawmut acquired other companies under various names as the company transitioned from knitted fabrics and yarns to bonding and lamination, especially for the automotive and medical industries. This series is divided into two subseries. Subseries I: Subject files, consists of records describing the business transactions of the Wyner companies with other businesses and are filed alphabetically by company name.
