Scope and Contents

This series consists of correspondence, financial reports, meeting minutes, membership lists, constitution and by-laws. Topics addressed are the initial forming of the Jewish Community Council in 1944 by the Central Advisory Committee, the appointment of Robert Segal as President in 1944, the initial mission statement and the forming of committees, including the Committee for Social and Economic Justice. Files relating to particular staff and officers are also included in this series.
