Scope and Contents
This series includes correspondence, newsletters, meeting minutes, brochures, photographs, news clippings, and audiovisual materials related to Bernard A. Margolis’s professional work in the library field. Included are materials documenting his tenures as Director of the Virginia Village branch of the Denver Public Library, Deputy Director and later Executive Director of the Monroe County Library System, Director of the Pikes Peak Library District, President of the Boston Public Library, and New York State Librarian and Assistant Commissioner of Libraries. Also included are materials related to his involvement in professional library organizations, including the American Library Association.
