Scope and Contents
This series consists of a variety of materials pertaining to Dr. Sperber’s years as Superintendent of Brookline Public Schools, including correspondence, grant proposals, reading materials and research, articles written by Dr. Sperber, faculty speeches, curriculum, reports, budgets and other financial records, and meeting minutes. Also included are photographs, Dr. Sperber’s appointment books, conference materials and news clippings. In this series there are also educational materials from Harvard University, where Dr. Sperber taught for many years in the Graduate School of Education and the International Education Center. Some of these folders contain student work, and are restricted. There are also some materials referring to Dr. Sperber’s role in the creation of Facing History and Ourselves and the Brookline Early Education Project, as well as curriculum modules from the Brookline-Cambridge Dissemination Center.
