Scope and Contents
This series includes programs, news clippings, newsletters and bulletins, eulogies, financial documents, membership lists and directories, photographs, anniversary booklets, meeting minutes, and correspondence on the numerous synagogues in the Western Massachusetts region, including Beis Medrash Lubavitch, Beit Ahavah, Chabad, Congregation Ahavas Achim, Congregation Beth Israel, Congregation B’nai Israel, Congregation B’nai Jacob, Congregation Rodphey Sholom, Congregation Sons of Israel, Congregation Sons of Zion, Jewish Community of Amherst, Sinai Temple, Temple Beth El, and Temple Israel. Also included are materials on Congregation Beth Israel, Congregation Kesser Israel, and Congregation Kodimoh, which in 2008 all merged to form Congregation B’nai Torah.
