Scope and Contents
This series describes Robert Sperber’s twenty-year career at Boston University in his roles as Special Assistant to the President on Urban Public Schools, Special Assistant to the Dean of Education, School of Education, and Professor of Education. The bulk of these materials pertain to his involvement with the Boston Compact, and his roles as Executive Director of the Boston Higher Education Partnership and Co-Director of the Boston Leadership Academy. Materials include correspondence, reports, proposals, conference material, administrative documents, miscellaneous background information, financial records, and committee meeting minutes, legal documents, news clippings, speeches, testimonies, and publications. Items describing his work to help reform the Chelsea Public School system through a partnership with Boston University include correspondence, reports, and proposals.
