Scope and Contents
This subseries contains correspondence primarily between Herman Brown and his assistant, Esther Ritchie, as well as other staff, community members and Workmen's Circle members. Organizations that Brown corresponded with include Social Democrats, USA; One Generation After; Jewish Labor Committee; Anti-Defamation League of B'nai B'rith; and a letter to Robert Segal of the Boston Jewish Community Relations Council about donating the records of The Workmen's Circle to the American Jewish Historical Society. A variety of memorandums, Circle Lodge reservations, meeting agenda information, reimbursement requests, information about events, and branch election forms are also included.
