This series contains materials pertaining to the activities of the Rabbinical Association. Included are committee meeting minutes and reports, relationships with other organizations, programs the Association participated in, chaplain service, employment, governance, finance, announcements and resolutions on religious and non-religious topics, religious services, prayers, membership, and publicity. The bulk of this series is correspondence and contains letters from prominent rabbis who were involved with the Association, including Rabbi Samuel Abrams, Rabbi Abraham Close, Rabbi H. Bruce Ehrmann, Rabbi Louis Epstein, Rabbi Benjamin Grossman, Rabbi Israel Harburg, Rabbi Joshua Loth Liebman, Rabbi Herman Rubenovitz, Rabbi Joseph Shubow, and Rabbi Leo Shubow. Of note is a 1945 letter from Joseph Shubow describing his time as a military chaplain during World War II. In this letter, Shubow talks about Passover seders he conducted throughout Europe, including a historic seder for 300 Jewish servicemen at the castle of Joseph Goebbels, as well as his visits to concentration camps, his work with displaced persons, and his worries about the future of Jews in Poland. Also of note is a 1964 signed letter from actress Lillian Gish, in which she donated money to the Rabbinical Association in memory of her friend Boaz Pillar.
