Scope and Content Note
This collection contains Abraham Strauss's professional correspondence and military records. The correspondence includes a letter from A. Vincent Osmun, head of the Botany Department at the Massachusetts Agricultural College, to Abraham's father Louis, inquiring about his son's injuries in the war and his interst in working as a graduate student at the college. It also includes two envelopes addressesed to Strauss from P.B. Wiltberger and F.A. McLaughlin, two fellow professors of botany. His military records include his 1919 Army discharge certificate and his soldier's individual pay record book.
