Series IV: Refusenik Case Files and Related Materials, undated, 1974-2011
Scope and Contents
This series contains correspondence, affidavits and other legal documents, news clippings, photographs, reports, forms, lists, and more documenting refusenik and other related cases. Included are case files on individual and family refuseniks and prisoners of conscience, database printouts and file cards on emigres in New England, files on specific occupations of refuseniks (engineers, scientists, meteorologists, etc.), and general materials on the refusenik emigration process. Refusenik case files include cases from all over the Soviet Union, including Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Belarus, and Moldova. This series is restricted; access can be granted at the discretion of the Executive Director of Action for Post-Soviet Jewry. Please contact jhcreference@nehgs.org to request access to this series.
