This series includes meeting minutes, programs, brochures, correspondence, reports, newsletters, financial documents, anniversary booklets, scrapbooks, certificates, directories, and ephemera documenting various Jewish organizations of Western Massachusetts. Included are materials on the Springfield Jewish Community Center and the Jewish Federation of Western Massachusetts (formerly the Jewish Federation of Greater Springfield), as well as the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, Hadassah chapters of Springfield and Northampton-Amherst, Hebrew Free Loan Association, Jewish Geriatric Services, Jewish War Veterans of the United States Freedman Post 26, Springfield AMIT Women (formerly Mizrachi Women’s Organization), Springfield Young Men’s and Women’s Hebrew Associations, and the Barre Center for Buddhist Studies, which for many years hosted a Jewish-Buddhist Conference and a medication retreat for rabbis.
