Scope and Content Note
This collection contains photocopies of transcriptions of letters written by Grace Cohen Shohet to her children, Stephen and Marcia, shortly before her death on July 31, 1954. The transcription was prepared by Shohet's sister from a book of letters and notes recorded by Shohet. The prayer she composed for the dedication of Temple Israel's art museum is also included.

Biographical Note
Grace Cohen Shohet was a Massachusetts resident who, shortly before passing away, wrote a series of letters on various themes to her children, Stephen and Marcia. Shohet also wrote a poem for the dedication of the art museum at Temple Israel (Boston, Massachusetts.)
