Scope and Content Note From the Collection: The material documents the first meetings of the Committee, at which its purpose and future plans were set out. The primary goal was to collect materials pertaining to the first hundred years of Jewish life in Greater Boston, while also accepting any other material which might be offered to it. Further, the Committee hoped to document current Jewish history by collecting the yearbooks put out by local Jewish organizations.
