Scope and Contents
This subseries includes meeting minutes, correspondence, postcards, reports, and financial documents describing Spiro’s activities at the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, for which he was a trustee and sat on various committees. Spiro was active at the museum at the time of its infamous 1990 art theft, and some materials in this subseries cover the theft and its aftermath. This subseries is restricted.
