Fire and Reconstruction, 1982-1983
Scope and Contents
The series contains records relating to the synagogue and community center buildings owned and operated by Congregation Tifereth Israel. The bulk of the materials are photographs and news clippings that document the 1982 electrical fire which severely damaged the synagogue and community center and the subsequent efforts to rebuild the structures. Other materials include blueprints and building permits and inspections.
