Scope and Contents
Subseries II describes the operations of the various Wyner companies including the records of Shawmut Woolen Millis, Shawmut Millis, Shawmut, Inc., R. H. Wyner Associates, Inc., Duplan Corporation and the Vanta Company to name a few. Included are correspondence, memorandum, articles of organization, trade marks, patents, meeting minutes, reports, financial records, samples and promotional materials. Of special interest are documents describing the transition from knitted fabrics to the bonding and lamination process and materials documenting the company's production of army supplies during World War II.
