Scope and Contents
This series includes articles on non-synagogue organizations in the Jewish community. Organizations include B'nai B'rith, Hadassah, American Jewish Congress, American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, Zionist Organization of America, Hillel, the Rabbinical Court (Bet Din). The Jewish Appeal and the Combined Jewish Fund are discussed including fundraising goals and accomplishments. Topics covered include business affairs of the organizations, such as a potential split in Zionist groups, or political stands taken, such as the American Jewish Congress discussing urban development issues and the Rabbincal Court ruling on housing issues.
