Historical Note
There is no information available about the B'nai B'rith chapter of Lynn, Massachusetts. Internationally, B'nai B'rith is the oldest Jewish service organization in the world. Founded by Henry Jones and twelve German-Jewish immigrants in 1843, “B'nai B'rith” means “Sons of the Covenant” in Hebrew. Their mission is to combat anti-Semitism and ensure the continuity of the Jewish people and the State of Israel through education, advocacy, and social services.
