This subseries includes correspondence, financial documents, awards, brochures, and legal documents that showcase Spiro’s work with the Boston Society of Architects, including his involvement in securing their building at 50 Broad Street in Boston. Also included is his work as a member of the Editorial Committee, a transcript of his acceptance speech for his 1991 Honorary Membership Award, and letters of congratulations following the honor.

This subseries includes news clippings, correspondence, and meeting minutes regarding Spiro’s involvement in First Night, an annual Boston New Year’s Eve celebration that still continues to this day. Spiro served a director of the organization from 1978-1979.
