Historical Note
B’nai B’rith Women started as a women's auxiliary group to B'nai B'rith in 1897 and focused on advocacy, educational programs, and social services for women, children, and the larger Jewish community in the United States, Canada, and Israel. The Revere Chapter, number 577, of B'nai B'rith Women was founded in 1946 and expanded to become the Revere-Chelsea Chapter in 1985. In 1995, B'nai B'rith Women became a fully independent organization called Jewish Women International.
